Glass, one thousand paper cranes
7"H 12"W 12"D
A shell-like-glass nestling within a pile of one thousand tiny paper cranes. In this subtle and soft toned mixed-media sculpture, one may even be able to discover a sense of insanity from the meticulousness of the detail of the work. A medium, which has been molten and sculpted at two thousand degree Fahrenheit, meets in harmony with another completely different medium to create a sense of wholeness and balance. The reference of time reflected in the countless folds of the paper takes one's imagination to the life of the artist and challenges the boundaries of a sculptural object.
